Information
Annual herb 20–80 cm high; young branches glabrous. Leaves linear, elliptic, narrowly ovate or narrowly obovate, 3.5–10 cm long, 0.3–3 cm wide, base attenuate, margins serrate to subentire, apex acuminate to acute, glabrous; 3 main veins from base; petiole absent or up to 15 mm long. Glomerules solitary and terminal, 9–15 mm in diameter; phyllaries absent; paleae 3 mm long. Florets white, rarely pale mauve, female florets absent; disc florets 1.5–2 mm long. Achenes obovoid or ellipsoid, 1 mm long, slightly hairy and glandular near the base and apex; pappus absent or of a ring of a few hairs 0.1 mm long.
