Information
shrubby, erect, much branched, thinly hispid or glabrescent; leaves linear-terete, furrowed above, spreading, obtuse, callous tipped, entire, either glabrous or sprinkled with hairs or ciliate with rigid bristles; axils often bearing leaf-tufts, heads peduncled; invol. scales acute, linear, minutely glandular or glabrous; achenes puberulous. A small, slender shrublet, 3–8 inches high. Leaves 3–8 lines long, very slender, conspicuously channelled. Pedunc. 2–3 inches long, glabrous or puberulous. Inv. scales flattish. Variable chiefly in its pubescence.
