Low terrestrial (type) or epiphyte (Balslev); rhizome erect, with dark brown, triangular scales 1–1.3x0.4 mm, attenuate, the margins entire. Fronds tufted, 10–13 cm long. Stipe 1–2 cm long, glabrous or nearly so. Lamina herbaceous, green, lanceolate, 9–11x2–2.6 cm, simple, costa glabrous, white, base long-attenuate, margin crenate-serrate, apex rounded or obtuse, here often proliferous. Sori many, at an oblique angle, reaching neither costa nor margin, linear, 3.5–8 mm long; indusium membranous, to 0.7 mm wide, entire. Fig. 1: 7–8, p. 9.
