Information
Rhizome up to 5 mm. in diam., creeping, with loosely tufted fronds, shining brown entire lanceolate clathrate rhizome-scales up to 5 mm. long. Frond arching, not proliferous, firmly herbaceous. Stipe matt-brown, with appressed scales similar to those of the rhizome near the base, subglabrous above. Lamina up to 33 x 27 cm., 3–4-pinnate, ovate-triangular in outline, basal pinnae the largest. Pinnae up to 15 x 12 cm., triangular in outline, ultimate segments up to 8 x 2 mm., narrowly cuneate, sharply serrate at the apex, glabrous on both surfaces. Rhachis and secondary rhachises dark-brown, with sparse ovate-acuminate pale-brown clathrate scales c. 1 mm. long. Sori up to 4 mm. long, 1–2 per ultimate segment; indusium linear, membranous, entire.
