Information
stems woody, multisulcate, suberect or twining; prickles deflexed, pungent; branchlets numerous, slender, square, not zigzag, spreading or ascending, internodes very short; phyllocladia linear, rigid, mucronate, 1/2– 3/4 in. long, solitary unless at the tip of the branchlets, flat on both faces, bright green, furnished with a distinct midrib; racemes 1–3 in. long, spreading from the woody branches; lower pedicels 1/12– 1/8 in. long, articulated about the middle; bracts minute, scariose; perianth 1/12 in. long; segments oblong, obtuse, spreading widely; stamens nearly as long as the perianth; anthers minute, globose; berry globose, 1-seeded, 1/4 in. diam. null
