every where covered with long, soft hairs; leaves tufted, setaceo-filiform, mucronulate, pilose, the floral much longer than the calyx tube; flowers lateral, subsessile, solitary; calyx pilose, its segments subulate, twice or thrice as long as the tube; the ovate-oblong vexillum and often the carina villous; ovary 2-ovuled, villous. A spreading or procumbent, much or little branched, softly pilose shrub, varying in habit, length of leaves, and amount of pubescence. Leaves very slender, 2–4, or sometimes 6 lines long, imbricated. Flowers 3 lines long, nestling among the leaves like those of a Muraltia, pale, with a fulvescent, either glabrous or pubescent carina, nearly equalling the alæ.
