Leaves cordate with ± amplexicaul petioles; ochreae obsolete. Tepals pink or white, reticulately veined and becoming up to c. 2 cm long in fruit. Nuts 8–9 mm long, acute, sharply trigonous in upper half.
Range
Cultivated as an ornamental in S2 (coastal part) and locally occurring as an escape native of Mexico.
