Information
Glabrate; innovations minutely hairy. Leaves up to 14 by 5 1/2 in., narrowed at both ends; petiole 1 1/2 in. long. Spikes axillary, 2 in. long, dense with very numerous flowers; bracts small. Calyx 1/6– 1/5 in. long, glabrous or sparsely bristly. Corolla 1 1/4 in. long. Stamens, pollen and pistil of the genus.
