Information
Rhizome up to 5 x 0.8 cm., horizontal, with tufted fronds and densely clothed with light-brown to reddish-brown multicellular hairs up to 7 mm. long. Fronds erect, firmly herbaceous. Stipe up to 23 cm. long, stramineous, thinly villous with brown multicellular hairs up to 4 mm. long. Sterile lamina up to 13 x 12 cm., ovate-deltate to triangular-deltate, 2-pinnate to 3-pinnatifid. Sterile pinnae pinnate to 2-pinnatifid, shortly petiolulate, sparsely villous above and below; ultimate segments obtuse to rounded, decurrent, sinuately lobed, minutely crenate-dentate. Fertile pinnae erect, longer than the sterile portion with petiolules up to 8 cm. long and the fertile pinna proper up to 14 cm. long, 3-pinnatifid, the segments up to 1 mm. broad, glabrous. Rhachis thinly villous. Sporangia borne in 2 rows.
