[Beccari, in Webbia 3: 255 (1910), described from Cameroun a species, A. acutiflorum Becc. differing from A. secundiflorum in its more sharply apiculate flowers, less rigid leaf-segments, and other minor characters. Tuley, in correspondence, states there are two forms in Nigeria, one having drooping leaf-segments, the other more rigid segments held horizontally. Nevertheless all the flowering material at Kew, including collections of Tuley, seems referable to A. secundiflorum.]
