Information
“stem suffruticose, branched, sparingly setulose, with subappressed hairs; leaves linear, acute, very entire, sprinkled on both sides and at the margin with subappressed, rigid bristles; invol. scales acuminate, rough-hairy at back.” “Stem rigid, slender. Branches not striated. Leaves 7 lines long, scarcely a line wide. The heads when rubbed smell of aniseed, and are about half the size of those of A. Lychnitis. Rays pale. Achenes mostly compressed, with callous margin, at length nearly calvous.” DC.
