Notes
Aloe monteiroi Baker in Gard. Chron., Ser. 3, 6: 523 (1889) was described from a plant cultivated at Kew but originating from Delagoa Bay. It could possibly be identified with A. parvibracteata, but since the type specimen consists only of 2 small leaves, the description specifies a simple inflorescence, and no other specimens have ever been recorded, it must remain a species ‘non satis cognita’.
