Information
acaulescent; leaves about 30 in a dense rosette, lanceolate, ascending, green, unspotted, 4–6 in. long, an inch broad at the base, tapering gradually to the pungent horny apex; margin with pale brown, horny, deltoid prickles 1/8 in. long, many of which extend to the back and a few also to the face; peduncle stout, simple, about as long as the leaves; raceme dense, simple, 3–5 in. long; lower pedicels 1/8– 1/6 in. long; bracts lanceolate-deltoid, 3/4–1 in. long; perianth slightly curved, 1 3/4–2 in. long; tube less than half as long as the segments; stamens slightly exserted; style finally exserted 1/2 inch. null

Notes
Nearly allied to A. humilis and A. virens.
