Information
stem finally 1/2–1 ft. long below the rosette of leaves, simple, 2 in. diam.; leaves 30–40 in a dense rosette, lanceolate, about a foot long, 2 in. broad low down, narrowed gradually to the apex, 1/4– 1/3 in. thick, glaucous-green, unspotted, flat in the lower part of the face, marked with very distinct green vertical lines, rounded and smooth on the back; margin with close, reddish-brown, deltoid, horny prickles 1/12– 1/8 in. long; peduncle simple, about a foot long; raceme dense, 1/2 ft. long; lower pedicels 1–1 1/2 in. long; bracts lanceolate-deltoid, much shorter than the pedicels; perianth cylindrical, bright red, tipped with green; tube cylindrical about 1/2 in. long; stamens and style scarcely exserted. null
