Information
stem slender, reaching a length of many feet below the dense rosette of leaves; leaves ensiform, very glaucous, 1 1/2–2 ft. long, 2 in. broad, acuminate, neither spotted nor striped, 1/4– 1/3 in. thick in the centre, margined with close deltoid-cuspidate prickles 1/8– 1/6 in. long; peduncle stout, simple or forked, above a foot long; racemes dense, 1/2–1 ft. long; pedicels about an inch long; bracts ovate or oblong, shorter than the pedicels; perianth bright red, cylindrical, 1 1/4–1 1/2 in. long; tube very short; stamens about as long as the perianth. null
