Shrub or small tree, 1–3(–5) m high; branchlets, leaves and inflorescences sparsely pubescent to subtomentose. Petiole 1–3.5(–5.5) cm long; leaflets elliptic or obovate to subcircular, terminal one 2–8 x 1.5–5.5 cm, shallowly crenate to irregularly dentate or serrate, acute to emarginate at the apex, attenuate to cuneate at the base, tufts of hairs usually conspicuous. Inflorescences usually all raceme-like (rarely some paniculate with 1–3 branches), 2–12(–15) cm long; cymules subsessile; pedicels 1–2 mm long, pubescent. Outer sepals c. 1 x 1 mm, broadly elliptic, pubescent, inner c. 1 x 1–1.5 mm, subcircular. Petals c. 1 x 0.5 mm. Filaments 1–2 mm long, hairy in basal half. Style c. 1 mm long, hairy; stigma c. 0.5 mm long. Fruit ellipsoid to subglobose, 6–8 x 5–6 mm. Seeds ellipsoid, 6–7 x c. 5 mm.
