Notes
The plants from Tanzania and parts of Kenya and Ethiopia were recently segregated as A. stuessyi Liu (1989), distinguished by its glandular-puberulous leaves. However, also some of the Somali collections have glandular leaves, but I prefer to treat the material in tropical Africa and Arabia as one, fairly variable, species.
