Perennials with erect to decumbent stems up to 0,2 m long, with fibrous roots. Leaves oblanceolate, (60-)80-130(-160) x 25-45(-60) mm, cuneate, usually rounded, rarely obtuse, dorsiventrally compressed and with horny margin at least in upper half but sometimes almost around whole leaf, grey-green and without spots. Inflorescence a thyrse with l-3(-7)-flowered cymes, 0,25-0,45(-0,50) m long, grey and usually with a bloom; pedicel 1-3 mm long. Buds terete and slightly longitudinally grooved, gradually tapering towards apex, spreading. Calyx 1,5-2 mm long, grey. Corolla with a cylindrical tube 8-11 mm long, grey-green; lobes triangular-lanceolate, 2,5-41 mm long, acute, rough and with club-shaped tri-chomes towards throat, white or cream with a pale pink tinge. Anthers included. SquaÂmae square or almost so, 0,8-1,0 mm long and broad, emarginate, broadest at or above the middle.
