Information
branches pubescent; leaves imbricate, appressed, elliptical or oval-oblong, obtuse, concave, glabrous above, pubescent beneath, nerveless, obsoletely impresso-glandular; flowers capitate; bracteoles lanceolate; calyx glabrous at base, 5-fid, the leaves ovate, sub-obtuse, downy towards the point, ciliate; petals …? Branches 3–4-uncial, densely clothed with closely appressed leaves. Leaves two lines long, 1 1/2 lines wide, nearly sessile. Flowers four or more, involucrated by the uppermost leaves. Bracts keeled, ciliate, wider upwards. Calyx purplish at the tip, 4 1/2 lines long. Petals and the remaining parts of the flower are wanting in our specimens. It varies with leaves externally glabrous, and obsoletely nerved and green-streaked in the upper part of the branches.
