Information
Weak-stemmed annual; culms 30–100 cm. high, decumbent below and rooting at the glabrous nodes. Leaf-blades broadly linear, 4–20 cm. long, 3–10 mm. wide, at most obscurely cross-veined, tapering from the cordate or amplexicaul base. Inflorescence 10–30 cm. long, the racemes 3–12 cm. long, ± divergent, their rhachis glabrous. Spikelets lanceolate, 4.5–6 mm. long, glabrous, the glumes not separated; upper glume and lower lemma distinctly nipped at the tip.
