Information
Annual. Stems erect, much-branched, 1 1/2–2 ft. long, thinly clothed with short spreading bristly white hairs. Stem-leaves shortly petioled, oblong-lanceolate, crenate, 2–3 in. long, thinly hairy on both sides. Heads corymbose at the end of the branches, crowded, globose, 1/3– 1/2 in. diam.; basal bracts ovate, pale at the base; flower-bracts orbicular-cuspidate, 1/6 in. long and broad. Fruit-calyx 1/6 in. long; tube strongly ribbed; lips oblong. Corolla twice as long as the calyx.
