Information
Unarmed, evergreen tree, with smooth pale grey bark. Leaves large; leaflets ovate-lanceolate, acuminate. Flowers usually nodding, in erect dense racemes. Sepals and petals green. Stamens 5, exserted, orange-red. Pods linear to linear-oblong, 2-valved, several- to many-seeded, narrowly winged along upper suture.
Notes
, native from India to Thailand, is grown in Uganda (Dale, Introd. Trees Uganda: 4 (1953)) and Tanganyika (T.T.C.L.: 87 (1949)).
