Notes
It is possible that this variety has a wider range than here given. A few specimens from Kenya and Somalia included in F.T.E.A. Legum.-Mimos.: 93 (1959) under the rather heterogeneous concept of var. kerensis Schweinf. have pods similar to those of var. rostrata. The situation needs clarifying in eastern and north-eastern tropical Africa.
