Information
Shrub 1–5 m high, branching from the base; young branchlets greyish-white to yellowish green, glabrous to spreading pubescent. Stipular spines straight or rarely curved, 0.4–1.7(–2.7) cm long. Leaves: pinnae (2–)3–7(–11) pairs; leaflets 5–16 pairs, 2.5–6(–9) x (0.5–)0.75–2.5 mm. Flowers whitish or greenish, in heads; peduncles 0.5–1.5 cm long, pubescent; involucel below or sometimes about middle of peduncle. Calyx 1.5–2.5 mm long, pubescent. Corolla up to 3.5 mm long, with the lobes conspicuously pubescent outside. Pods straight or sometimes slightly curved, 4–15 x 0.9–2.2 cm, with a narrow wing-like margin 1–3.5 mm wide, straw-coloured, shortly pubescent. Seeds globose or ellipsoid, 4.5–6.5 x 3.5–6 mm, shallowly and closely wrinkled; areole 4–5 x 3–3.5 mm.
