Description
Yesterday Meyer delivered to the Secretary of the British Legation in Peking [Beijing], four small parcels containing plants. The Secretary will try to forward these parcels to Prain via Siberia, otherwise they will have to go by sea. He encloses small labels with this shipment giving some slight information. Herewith, however, he is adding some 'fuller notes' [not attached]. Annotated as retained at 'C.O.' [Colonial Office?]. He would be much obliged for the correct names of the plants. This letter is sent care of the American Legation, Peking, China, via Siberia. Page 1 of 2.
