The subject of the memorandum is 'Mrs D.J. Collins, Sriracha' [Si Racha, Thailand]. Craib writes that the only herbarium collections from Sriracha are those forwarded by Mrs [Emily] Collins and Dr Kerr. He would recommend the exhausting of the native flora as far as possible before the planted trees or shrubs, unless the name of any introduced plant is required owing to its economic importance. He advises also collecting orchids, ferns and mosses as these are not represented in the herbarium from Sriracha. Orchid flowers alone would not be sufficient, complete plants should be dried whenever possible. The ferns should be collected only when in spore and the mosses when in fruit. Page 1 of 1.
