Information
Hairy with simple and glandtipped hairs. Leaves (only some on young shoots seen), 1 by 1/5 in., narrowly elliptic. Flowers 1 or 2 on very short axillary branches ending in stout spines 3/4 in. long; bract obsolete; bracteoles 3/4 by 1/5 in., narrowly elliptic-oblong, hairy, not strongly veined. Calyx: posticous segment 1/3 in. long, 2 anticous segments connate nearly to the tip. Corolla-tube 3/4 in. long, nearly equally cylindric; lobes 1/3– 1/2 in. long. Anthers, pollen and stigmas of the genus. Capsule 1/3 in. long; seeds of the genus.
