perennial, much branched, 3/4–1 1/4 ft. high; branches puberulous; leaves in approximate fascicles, linear or oblong-linear, subobtuse, minutely glaucous, and bearing numerous black dots, 2–3 lin. long; flowers aggregated in corymbs 1/2–1 1/2 in. broad at the summit of the branches; bracts oblong, subobtuse, concave, minutely canescent, 1 1/2 lin. long; calyx 1–1 1/4 lin. long, minutely puberulous; lobes oblong, subobtuse, rather shorter than the tube; corolla white (Galpin); tube oblong, 1 lin. long; lobes broadly oblong, unequal, about as long as the tube. null
