Names
RANUNCULUS aberdaricus Ulbr. [family RANUNCULACEAE], in N.B.G.B. 10: 904 (1930). Type: Kenya, Aberdare Mts., Fries 2566 (UPS, holo.!, S, iso.!)
Information
Perennial herb with prostrate stems, up to 2 dm. long, with solitary flowers at the ends of the branches. Basal leaves trifoliolate, the terminal leaflet with or without a petiolule; leaflets broadly ovate to oblate in general outline, more or less trilobed and coarsely toothed, terminal 1.4–2 cm. long, 2.2–2.5 cm. broad, lateral leaflets sessile, long adpressed hairs on both surfaces, ciliate at the margins; petiole up to 1.3 dm. long. Sepals spreading, sparsely hairy on the outer surface, glabrous on the inner surface. Petals probably white, up to 8 mm. long. Fig. 4/2, (p. 17).
