Information
shrubby, the branches albotomentose; leaves alternate, very patent, glabrous or downy, linear-terete, with revolute margins and a central furrow, mucronate, obtuse or truncate at base; racemes lateral and terminal, few-flowered, subsessile; pedicels shorter than the flower; bracts persistent, deltoid; alæ cordate-ovate, oblique, obtuse; lateral petals 2-lobed, both lobes acute and cuspidate. Nearly allied to P. pinifolia, but with squarrose leaves, white-woolly branches, &c. Much branched, 2–3 feet high, with the aspect of a Phylica. Flowers a palish purple, often turning green when dry.
