stemless. very hairy; leaflets broadly ovate, complicate, with curled and undulate margins glabrous, and dotted on the upper, hairy on the under surface and margins; scapes equalling the petiole; sepals lanceolate, hairy, four times shorter than the corolla. A very small plant, about an inch high, thickly clothed with white hairs. Stipes very short, with a few brown scales. Leaves numerous. Petioles scarcely 1/2 inch long. Leaflets 2–3 lines long, the lateral incurved. Sepals two lines long. Corolla seemingly violet at top, with a yellowish tube.—Very near O. crispula, Sond. from which its whitish pubescence, much smaller and proportionally broader leaves, and violet-coloured corolla, distinguish it.
