Information
Shrub or subshrub up to 1 m tall; young stems pubescent to tomentose. Leaves pubescent to tomentose; petiole 5–35 mm long; stipules 3–7 mm long; blade broadly ovate to orbicular, 15–65 x 13–65 mm, subacute to emarginate at the apex, with crenate to serrate margins. Flowers solitary or in 2–3-flowered pubescent to tomentose cymes; peduncle 15–75 mm long; pedicels up to 15 mm long; epicalyx bracts 10–20 x 3–7 mm, lanceolate to narrowly ovate, tomentose, recurved in fruit. Sepals 10–18 x 3–5 mm, tomentose. Petals 10–14(–18) mm long. Staminodes 6–9 mm long. Style 4–9 mm long. Capsule 8–13 mm long, ellipsoid, tomentose, with c. 4-seeded cells. Seeds c. 2 mm long, with scattered tubercles.
