glabrous; stems 18 in. long, slender, triquetrous; bases slender, close together on a woody rather slender rhizome; leaves half the length of the stem (or only 2 in.), hardly 1/8 in. broad; bracts 3, spreading, lowest 1–2 in. long, similar to the leaves; spike 1, ovoid, of 6–8 spikelets, fuscous or somewhat golden; spikelets 1/5 in. long, narrow-lanceolate, perfecting 1 nut; fertile glume lanceolate, acute; keel wingless, green, smooth; style 2-fid. null
Range
Also in Angola. This species is hardly separable from the world-wide K. brevifolia, Rottb.
