Information
Corm globose, 1 in. diam.; tunics of parallel fibres, reticulated upwards. Produced leaves 3–4, narrowly linear, erect, firm, 1 ft. long, 1/8 in. broad. Stem slender, terete, 1 ft. long, bearing 2 reduced leaves. Spike very lax, secund, 1 ft. long, 10–12-flowered; outer spathe-valves oblong-lanceolate, green, 1/2– 3/4 in. long. Perianth dull purple, 1 in. long, tube curved; upper segment as long as the tube, oblong, obtuse, with a cuneate base, 1/4– 1/3 in. broad; lower segments smaller, with a narrow claw. Stamens nearly as long as the upper segments.
