Notes
VARIATION. Specimens from areas with markedly seasonal water supply have a thick rough bark with very dense pale raised lenticels giving a coral like appearance to the surface. The leaflets of plants from such areas are broader, more coriaceous and very shortly acuminate. This species in common with others of the genus sometimes flowers on young vigorous shoots arising from burnt-back stools and in this case the inflorescences are long and lax with very few, large flowers, the sepals and petals tending to be longer and broader than the normal dimensions for the species.
