nearly glabrous, except the corolla; branches 12 in. long, divided, rigid, striate, internodes mostly 1/4– 1/2 in. long; leaves 1/3– 1/2 by 1/4 in, very obtuse; petiole 0– 1/10 in.; flowers towards the ends of the branches, axillary, solitary, rarely 2 together, not running into a spike; calyx-lobes 5, 1/6– 1/5 in. long, narrowly lanceolate or oblong or somewhat obovate, whitish, nearly glabrous; corolla 2/3 in. long or more, hairy outside; capsule 1/4 in. long, and nearly 1/4 in. broad upwards, glabrous, 4-seeded; seeds tubercular-rugose. null
