Rhizome c. 3 mm. in diam., creeping, with fronds up to 1.5 cm. apart and with shining light-brown narrowly lanceolate rhizome-scales up to 6 mm. long, denticulate below and subentire above. Frond stipitate, carnose-coriaceous. Stipe up to 8 cm. long, tomentose, becoming glabrous with age. Lamina up to 30 x 3 cm., simple, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, narrowly acute to obtuse, base narrowly cuneate, entire; upper surface subglabrous, lower surface tomentose with reddish-brown stellate hairs with long slender arms c. 1 mm. long. Sori sunk in the tomentum.

Epiphyte or growing on rocks. Rhizome shortly creeping, 1.3–3.6 mm diameter with fronds borne at intervals of 0.5–3 cm and with shining light brown narrowly elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, acute or obtuse, ± entire, denticulate or distinctly ciliate scales 4–9.7 mm long, 0.6–1.6 mm wide. Fronds stipitate or apparently so, the stipe up to 8 cm long, tomentose but glabrous with age; lamina narrowly elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, 7–45 cm long, 0.7–3 cm wide, narrowly acute to obtuse at the apex, very narrowly decurrent at the base, ± glabrous above, thickly tomentose beneath with thick ferruginous stellate hairs with long slender arms ± 1 mm long. Sori apical or covering the lamina, immersed in the tomentum.
