Information Epiphytic, clustered. Rhizome short, about 1 cm diameter; scales brown, subulate, 3.5–12 mm long, 0.5–1.5 mm wide. Sterile fronds ovoid, 20–35 cm long, 8–25 cm wide, convex, forming an almost hemispherical mass, at first with sparse minute whitish stellate hairs, later ± glabrous. Fertile fronds narrowly wedge-shaped, 25–35 cm long, 2–4 times dichotomously divided into rounded to acute narrow lobes up to 2.5 cm wide, ± glabrous above, densely covered with minute white stellate hairs beneath. Soral patches generally 4 or 8 per frond, situated near but not at the apices of the ultimate segments and often also around the ultimate sinuses. Fig. 1.

Information Rhizome short, c. 1 cm. in diam., with brown subulate scales. Sterile fronds ovoid, convex, forming an almost hemispherical mass, 32 cm. in diam., thinly set with minute whitish stellate hairs at first, becoming glabrous with age. Fertile fronds up to 60 cm. long, narrowly cuneate, 2–4 times dichotomously divided into rounded to acute oblong to cultrate ultimate lobes up to 2.5 cm. broad, subglabrous above, densely clothed below with minute white stellate hairs c. 0.2 mm. in diam. Sporangia borne in soral areas on the ultimate and penultimate lobes, covered with white stellate hairs similar to those on the lamina.
