Annual herb; stems prostrate or twining, up to 1 m or more long, pubescent with ± spreading hairs at least when young. Leaf-blades narrowly to broadly ovate, 2–8 x 1.5–4.6 cm, cordate at the base, obtuse to acute or acuminate at the apex, pubescent; petiole 1–8 cm long. Flowers solitary or in 2–5-flowered cymes; peduncle up to 3 mm long; pedicels 3.5–8 mm long, deflexed; bracts lanceolate, c. 2–3 mm long. Sepals elliptic-lanceolate to ovate-triangular, 4.5–6.5 x 2–3 mm, truncate to cuneate at the base, acute to acuminate at the apex, ciliate to bristly pilose. Corolla white or pink, often with purple centre, 5–8 mm long. Capsule globose, 5–8.5 mm in diam., glabrous. Seeds c. 4 mm long, densely pubescent with short appressed hairs.

Annual; stems twining or prostrate, patently pubescent. Leaves triangular-ovate, 4.7–7.5 cm. long, 3–4.6 cm. wide, acuminate at the apex, cordate at the base, sparsely pilose; petiole 1.5–5 cm. long. Flowers solitary or in 2–5-flowered cymes; peduncle about 3 mm. long; pedicels 3.5–8 mm. long. Sepals ovate-triangular, acute or acuminate at the apex, contracted or rounded below, hairy to glabrescent; outer three 4.5–6.5 mm. long, 2.5– 3.5 mm. wide, with ciliate margins; inner two linear-oblong, 4 mm. long, 1.5 mm. wide, less ciliate. Corolla white or with purple centre, 6–7 mm. long ;style short; stigmas purplish. Capsule ovoid, glabrous, 8.5 mm. long; fruiting sepals 8 mm. long, 4.5 mm. wide. Annual with twining or prostrate, slender, patently pubescent stems. Leaf lamina triangular-ovate, 4–9 × 3–5·5 cm., entire, cordate at base with the basal lobes rounded, acuminate at the mucronate apex, sparsely pilose and ciliate at the margin; petiole 1·5–5 cm. long, slender, pilose to hispidulous like the stems. Flowers axillary, solitary or in 2–5 flowered cymes, sessile or with peduncle up to 10 mm long; pedicels 3–8 mm. long; bracteoles minute, lanceolate, up to 2·5 mm. long, pilose. Sepals unequal, herbaceous to subcoriaceous, ovate triangular, acute or acuminate at the apex, contracted or rounded below, hairy to glabrescent, accrescent in fruit; the outer three 4–6·5 mm. long, with ciliate margins; the inner two linear-oblong, more or less 4 mm. long, less ciliate. Corolla funnel-shaped, white or with purple centre, 6–9 mm. long, midpetaline areas distinct, pilose outside mainly towards the tips. Ovary glabrous, style short; stigmas purplish. Capsule ovoid, glabrous, cuspidate by the persistent style-base. Seeds subtrigonous, shortly brownish or greyish-pubescent.
