Plants small to tall and robust, 30-100 cm., flowering before the leaves. Leaves linear, ± 30 cm. long and 7 mm. wide. Scape erect. Inflorescence a lax to dense raceme, with 10-40 flowers per 10 cm.; bracts 10-25 mm., spurs up to 10 mm.; pedicels 2-11 mm. Perianth-segments 10-18 mm. long; united 3-5 mm., whitish eventually tinged brownish purple. Filaments narrowly triangular and united with the perianth-segments, free part 7-10 mm. Ovary ovoid, ± 2 mm. long, style 6-8 mm. Capsule ovoid-ellipsoid, ± 10 mm. long, apex cuspidate. Seeds ± 5 mm. long.
